Hey y’all! Big news—Sí Se Puede San Antonio is stepping out for our very first event, and we couldn’t be more excited! On March 22nd, we’ll be joining the 29th Annual César E. Chávez March for Justice, and we’d love for you to come out and march with us.
This march is a big deal in San Antonio. Organized by the César E. Chávez Legacy & Educational Foundation, it’s a day where our community comes together to celebrate Latine pride, honor César Chávez’s incredible legacy, and stand up for justice. If you’ve never been, imagine this: thousands of people filling the streets, chanting, waving banners, and showing love for our history and what we bring to this country. It’s powerful, it’s inspiring, and it’s a whole lot of fun.
The march kicks off at 10:00 AM at the corner of S. Brazos and Guadalupe Street and winds its way to the Hemisfare. Along the way, there’s music, speeches, and plenty of opportunities to connect with other folks who care about justice and community. It’s a day to celebrate how far we’ve come and to remind ourselves that the fight for fairness and equality is still going strong.
For us at Sí Se Puede San Antonio, we hope you’ll come out and say “hi” at our tent where we’ll be live streaming all of the action on our facebook page. As a new streaming station, this is our first chance to get out there, meet y’all in person, and show up for our community. We’re all about building connections and standing together, especially in times like these when our communities are facing so many challenges. César Chávez’s legacy reminds us that when we come together, we can make real change happen.
So, grab your friends, your family, and your comfiest shoes, and let’s hit the streets! Whether you’re a seasoned marcher or a first-timer, this is the perfect way to show your pride and stand up for justice. Plus, it’s a great chance to meet us and see what Sí Se Puede San Antonio is all about.
Let’s make some noise, San Antonio! Together, we can show the world that ¡Sí se puede!—yes, we can—create a future where everyone in our community is treated with dignity and respect.
